Ball Design & Build provide high spec bespoke furniture to a discerning clientele, producing the highest quality furniture coupled with simple reliable service. From inception the company has flourished and with the use of the website as their primary means of marketing it was imperative that the site could be updated to showcase current projects as and when they were completed.

As the client was not a regular computer user it was essential that the interface to update the site was as simple to use as possible. An administrator can browse the site as though they are a normal visitor, with additional options to add, edit or delete a page.

The CMS has a simple icon driven, step-by-step, interface making it possible to see exactly what Is being amended or added to the site. An intuitive attachment system was built for the addition of images, PDF, Excel and Word documents. The thumbnail and large scale images in the portfolio sections are dynamically resized so the need for 3rd party image manipulation applications is not needed.

The design and look of the site was to be simple and understated yet have a contemporary feel to reflect the nature and quality of the products they were producing. The use of a soft colour palette not only makes it visually calming but also allows the products in their portfolio to be the main focus of the site.
