Overview
Football club Manchester City held an open training session and wanted to live video stream the event to all their fans across the globe.
The club’s Digital Delivery Manager, Victoria Stansfield “The streaming is a service we’re trialling to see if its a useful tool for fans We’ve done live streaming before but this has much more functionality around social which we’re hoping will generate interest in events at the stadium in the future.” The event streamed features such as a preview of the club’s new kit, a new family stand at the City of Manchester stadium and is the first chance to see the club’s new lineup in action.

The player was to be embedded into three separate sites. the official facebook page, Manchester City FC front page as well as the Umbro site.
The live streaming player incorporated a sign up page before the content could be watched. We also included a countdown clock so that viewers were aware when the actual event was to start streaming. Once logged in fans could watch 4 hours of Manchester City live content.
